Community Association Board (PGCAB) |
The Board is comprised of several officers/directors, elected by the members
at annual meeting. The duties, practices, procedures, responsibilities and
governing authority over Presidio Gardens Homeowners Association is described
in the By-Laws, Articles of incorporation, and Covenants and Restrictions.

Board Functions: |
The board is responsible for managing the affairs of the Homeowners' Association.
Duties include: |
- Enforcement of community CC&R's
- Preparing the Association's annual budget
- Fixing maintenance assessments
- Ensuring maintenance of the Common Areas
- Securing hazard and liability insurance on Association property
- Adopting and publishing rules and regulations governing the use of
Common Area and facilities
- Appointing committees as needed, and
- Employing a property manager and vendors as appropriate.

Fiduciary Duty: |
- The Board of Directors for Presidio Gardens Association hold a position
of confidence and trust that has been bestowed upon them by the owners
of the community when they were elected to the Board.
- Each board and committee member has been entrusted with the duty to
operate the association in the best interest of the association and
its members. This trust places a significant burden on each director
to ensure that they act in a manner that advances the interests of the
association, even if it is contrary to their personal interests.
- Board members will strive to operate the community affairs ina manner
that is free of issues, such as: decstructive personal agendas, interpersonal
disputes, petty squabbles, time-comsuming debates or speeches that prolong
meetings, malicious or self-serving abuses of authority, etc.
- When Board members exercise their authority in this manner, they are
upholding their fiduciary duty to the association.
